Originated in February 2002, this little hacker tool was designed for illegal monitoring and controlling of other people's computers. A Remote Administration Tool (or RAT) works by a simple principle: the attacker infects the computer with a "server" program. It allows the intruder to connect via a "client" and control your machine. The functions of a RAT may vary. This virus uses such stealth techniques as "trojan" and "backdoor" to infiltrate the system.
