Remove Antivirus 2011. Removal instructions
Also known as: Anti-Virus 2011, AntiVirus2011
Severity scale: (62 / 100)
Anti-Virus 2011 is a rogue antivirus program that is promoted and installed through the use of Trojans or other malicious software. As usual, Trojans come from fake online anti-malware scanners and bogus video web sites that prompt you to install fake flash player updates. This fake program can also enter a computer bundled with other malware. Once installed, Anti-Virus 2011 will supposedly scan your computer and display a variety of infections. Then it will prompt you to pay for a full version of the program to remove the infections which don't even exist. Of course, you shouldn't purchase it. This is nothing more but a scam. Please follow the removal instructions below to remove Anti-Virus 2011 from your computer as soon as possible. AntiVirus 2011 will also display fake security warnings claiming that your computer is infected with malware or under attack from a remote computer. Furthermore, it may block legitimate anti-virus and anti-spyware programs to protect itself from being removed. Last, but not least, it will probably hijack your web browser (usually Internet Explorer) and will either redirct you to various misleading websites or constantly display fake warnings about insecure Internet connection. As you can see, Anti-Virus 2011 is absolutely useless program. If you find that your computer is infected with this malware, then please follow the removal instructions below to uninstall Anti-Virus 2011 from your computer. If you have already purchased this rogue program then you should contact your credit card company and dispute the charges.
