AntiKeep is a rogue anti-spyware program from the same family as AntiAdd, ReSpyWare, REAnti, KeepCop and many others that belong to the WiniSoft malware family. This one is already the 50th from this family. It deliberately reports false system security threats and displays fake security alerts to make you think your computer is infected with all sorts of malicious software. Usually, the misleading application simulates a system scan and displays a list of infections that can not be removed unless you pay for a full version of the program. This is of course nothing more but a scam. Do not purchase this bogus software and uninstall AntiKeep from your computer upon detection.

AntiKeep comes from fake online scanners or other misleading websites. Social engineering is also widely used to distribute such malware as Anti Keep. Once installed, this misleading application will flood your PC with fake security alerts and scan reports. The main goal is to trick you into purchasing the program. Most of the time, this infection won't cause serious damage to the system, but in some cases it may download additional malware and make the situation even more complicated. It may block the Task Manager, Regedit and even disable system restore or prevent booting computer in safe mode. It will likely disable anti-virus software too.

The home page of AntiKeep is antikeep.com. This websites doesn't host harmful software, but it's full of false information. It recommends buying Anti Keep for $50 dollars and takes to the pay page which is related with bestbillingcenter.com. Furthermore, the rogue application will hijack Internet Explorer and display fake warnings while browsing the web. As you can see, AntiKeep is absolutely useless and what is more, even dangerous software. Do not trust it. This is a scam. Instead, please use the removal guide below and remove AntiKeep from your computer manually for free. Also don't forget to run a full system scan with a legitimate anti-spyware application. If you have inadvertently purchased this malware, please contact your credit card company and dispute the charges.
