Antispy Protector 2009 is a misleading anti-spyware application that reports false scan results and displays fake system security warnings to make you think that your computer is infected with spyware. This program is just a rename of Smart Defender Pro and Virus Remover Professional. It is also from the same family as Extra Antivirus, AV Antispyware, PAntispyware09 and MS Antispyware 2009. Antispy Protector 2009 is promoted through the use of Trojans, fake online anti-malware scanners and other malicious software. Trojans are usually disguised as video codecs. Fake online anti-malware scanners display fake pop-ups and warnings about serious system errors or infections. Most of the time, these fake anti-malware scanners use Windows XP/Vista style to make it look more reliable and professional.

Once installed, AntispyProtector2009, will perform fake system scan and report a list of various infections including Trojans, adware, spyware and other malware.
