Antispy Protector 2009 is a misleading anti-spyware application that reports false scan results and displays fake system security warnings to make you think that your computer is infected with spyware. This program is just a rename of Smart Defender Pro and Virus Remover Professional. It is also from the same family as Extra Antivirus, AV Antispyware, PAntispyware09 and MS Antispyware 2009. The security threat should be removed upon detection. Uninstall Antispy Protector 2009 from your computer as soon as possible.

Antispy Protector 2009 is promoted through the use of Trojans, fake online anti-malware scanners and other malicious software. Trojans are usually disguised as video codecs. Fake online anti-malware scanners display fake pop-ups and warnings about serious system errors or infections. Most of the time, these fake anti-malware scanners use Windows XP/Vista style to make it look more reliable and professional.

Once installed, AntispyProtector2009, will perform fake system scan and report a list of various infections including Trojans, adware, spyware and other malware. It then claims that you must purchase the program in order to remove those system security threats. However, the scan results are false or exaggerated, so you can safely ignore them. The same goes with legitimate looking but also fake security alerts. Those fake alerts can be ignored too, but the problem is that it is difficult to close them as they appear like every 45 seconds.

To make things worse, Antispy Protector 2009 will hijack you Internet browsers. If you search Google, you will be taken to a totally different website. You won't be able to access security related websites as well. What is more, your PC will work at least two times slower than normal.
