Antivir System PRO is a bogus anti-spyware application from the same family as Spyware Protect 2009 and System Guard 2009. AntivirSystem PRO trialware is promoted through the use of pop-up notifications and fake online anti-spyware scanners. Trojans, such as Zlob or Vundo, may also advertise this rogue application. These Trojans use security exploits to access the system without user's permission. Once active, trojan virus displays fake security alerts and suggests to download Antivir System PRO.

When Antivir System PRO is installed, it performs fake system scan and reports various bogus results, mainly about fake spyware or malware infections and security issues. It will constantly display fallacious pop-ups and security notifications very similar to Windows Security center alerts. The main aim of this parasite is to scare the owner of the infected computer and to convince him to buy a full version of AntivirSystem PRO.
