Antivirus'09 is a rogue spyware remover, fake anti-spyware application. Usually, the rogue is advertised through the use of pop-up windows or security alerts when browsing malicious websites. These pop-ups display fake information and state that computer is infected with various parasites. Then user is advertised to perform PC scan with an online anti-malware scanner. The fake scanner only assures that computer has security issues and recommends to download and install Antivirus 09, whereas Antivirus'09 will display even more fake security threats. The main aim of Antivirus09 is to scare the user and to offer him paid removal services. But the worst news is that Antivirus'09 is unable to remove any infections. It only collects money from naive and inexperienced people.

Once Antivirus'09 is installed, it performs fake system scan every time computer starts. Of course this parasite displays various bogus results in order to scare the user.
