Antivirus Protection is a rogue security software which is usually installed without users knowledge or consent. It is just another scam that uses misleading methods in order to scare you into purchasing this software. However, it is not recommended to do so, because it won't offer any protection to your computer. Uninstall Antivirus Protection from your computer after the first appearance.

Usually, Antivirus Protection 2009 is promoted through the use of trojans, fake online anti-malware scanners, bogus advertisements and video codecs. The installer of this program will be placed in a folder called PornoTubeXXX which is located in Program files. When your computer is infected with a trojan virus, it will constantly display pop-ups and system warnings stating that your computer is infected with malware. Most of the time, there is an option to hide these alerts, but no matter what you click, you will be redirected to the Antivirus Protection homepage or pay page.

When active, Antivirus Protection will automatically scan your computer each time you log on into Windows. The program will display numerous infection and security programs. These infections, though, are all fake. This parasite uses them just to care you. Most of the time, Antivirus Protection will identify harmless files as serious infections. Some of these files may be even Windows system files that are essential, so you should remove them. While running, it will dramatically slow down your computer or even make it unstable. This application will hijack he desktop and display security warnings. We should also mention that it will hijack your Internet browser too. You will notice that it takes you to entire different websites, mostly malicious ones.

What is more, AntivirusProtection will flood your computer with fake security alerts and system warnings. Don't confuse these warnings with the real ones displayed by Windows Security Center. The original system warning will never suggest you to buy Antivirus Protection or any other software. The parasite will also display these system errors:

"Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator"

"Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator"
