Simple and effective, used to steal information and annoy the user. Several versions appeared May, 2001 to September, 2001. A Remote Administration Tool (or RAT) works by a simple principle: the attacker infects the computer with a "server" program. It allows the intruder to connect via a "client" and control your machine. The functions of a RAT may vary. This virus uses such stealth techniques as "trojan" and "backdoor" to infiltrate the system. The author is Ben Sales and the programming language is Visual Basic.
