ASC AntiSpyware is another deceptive product, advertised as security software. This rogue application usually pretends to be reliable anti-spyware or anti-virus tool. But the main purpose of this parasite is actually opposite. It uses scare tactics to inform the user that system is infected with spyware or malware and to offer paid assistance.

ASCAntiSpyware can be downloaded and installed manually from misleading website by unexperienced users, but mostly this parasite enters the system automatically without user's permission with a help of trojans. After infection ASCAntiSpyware performs false system scan and shows many pop-up windows with fake information about system's infections, security problems and errors. Then this rogue offers quick and effective solution for those problems. It states that the system will be clean after the user purchases full copy of ASC AntiSpyware. Of course the last-mentioned statement is false. ASCAntiSpyware can't remove any infections, because it is infection itself.
