AVDefender 2011 is rogue anti-virus program that reports fake infections on your computer and then prompts to pay for a full version of the program to remove them. This fake program is promoted through the use of malware and fake online scanners that state your computer is infected with spyware, adware and other viruses. It can also installed on your computer without your knowledge through software vulnerabilities with the help of Trojans. Once installed, AV Defender 2011 will be configured to start automatically when you login to Windows. It will then pretend to scan your computer and when finished state that your computer is infected with various viruses. The infections it detects are actually fake and do not exist on your computer. The rogue program just wants to scare you into thinking that your computer is infected when it's not.
