What should you know about Bafapp.com virus?

Bafapp.com search might look like a regular search engine. However, it is not. It is more like a regular browser hijacker related search engine. This website may replace user’s browser homepage unexpectedly if user installs Bafapp.com browser hijacker (which is attributed to the category of potentially unwanted programs (PUPs)).

The search engine that Bafapp.com browser hijacker promotes is hardly reliable and we recommend computer users to refrain themselves from using it. This is definitely not the most accurate web search service because it tends to falsify some of its search results. Therefore, you can unexpectedly end up on suspicious websites after clicking on Bafapp.com search results. It was noticed that some of the search results carry misleading hyperlinks that trigger Bafapp.com redirects once user clicks on them. This browser hijacker organises these web redirects in order to force users to visit particular websites. This way, it directs web traffic to predetermined sites and, supposedly, hereby gains pay-per-click revenue.

Bafapp.com browser redirect virus

Unfortunately, we cannot claim that this search engine is trustworthy. Bafapp.com redirects are not only annoying, but they can also force you to visit high-risk websites. Untrustworthy web sources often promote dangerous programs disguised as beneficial software, so be very careful! If you are a security-minded computer user, reject all offers to download unknown software from questionable Internet sites. We would also like to recommend you to secure your computer from spyware and malware threats with a help of anti-spyware software, for example, Reimage. This software can remove Bafapp.com and all of its components with ease and secure your PC from similar PC infections in the future.

When did Bafapp.com hijack your PC?

It is easy to track when did Bafapp.com hijacker enter your computer. Try to recall when was the last time you installed some freeware or shareware. You can also see a list of recently installed programs via Control Panel. Bear in mind that Bafapp.com spreads alongside free programs (via software bundling method), so if you have noticed its existence on your computer, it means that you have unintentionally installed it alongside another free program recently. It usually happens if PC user relies on Standard or Default installation mode.

Question: How can I avoid installing browser hijackers like Bafapp.com?

Answer: To avoid installing PUPs like adware, browser hijackers and other questionable programs, you should pay attention to the information provided in software’s installation wizard. So whenever you download a new program and open its installation wizard, carefully read all the information it provides. Don’t skip Terms of Use and Privacy Policy documents; once you read them, adjust software’s installation settings. Make sure you set Advanced or Custom installation setting and then look if your desirable program suggests installing any “recommended downloads.” If it does, opt such suggestions out. You should not rely on Standard/Default installation settings because these options usually hide automatically approved agreements to install various additional software.
