this "parasite" does not allow me to run a download that I saved to USB to remove it nor can I remove it from the task manager window. This parasite prevents any attempt via these venues to "kill" it.

well when my friend got home he tried getting on the comp but it popped up with the banker fox.a virus and he tried blaming me for it because it froze up on play list.com earlier that day and i was wondering if that was really how his comp got the virus like from the website playlist.com

I got rid of mine. Reboot your computer in safe mode. For a pc, press F8 before the windows logo loads. Boot your computer in safe mode and run your antivirus software. It did this to me too and I could not run my antivirus at first to remove it. I just did this last night and so far its worked.

Use the safe mode, boot method to get rid of it. I ran SPYBOT Search & Destroy, and AD-Aware. Double-checked Using RegEdit and TaskManager to delete any files.
