Barracuda Antivirus is another rogue anti-spyware application. This program is classified as a rogue because it displays false scan results stating that your computer is seriously infected. This is a common method used by all rogue security programs such as Antivirus System Pro and Spyware Protect 2009. Barracuda Antivirus shows these fake infections in order to scare you into thinking that your computer is compromised and that you should purchase the program to remove these serious infections. Usually, Barracuda Antivirus is advertised through the use of Trojans and fake online scanners or ads.
