This batch-file infector usually uses its simple, but really effective algorithms for damaging the infected system. BAT.CW searches for every possible host files (usually with *.bat extensions) and tries to infect them with the help of DOS command 'copy'. This technique is sometimes able to become a reason of many unwanted negative effects, because several really important files (like autoexec.bat) are in danger of getting infected.
