What should you know about Bestsearchs.com search engine?

Bestsearchs.com virus can affect every computer that is not protected with an anti-spyware program. However, users can prevent Bestsearchs.com hijack by simply taking one security measure – installing software carefully. However, we are going to discuss this program’s distribution techniques later on, and now let’s concentrate on its functionality and danger it causes to the computer system.

In general, it is not a malicious program. However, once installed, it affects main web browsers and changes homepage and new tab page to Bestsearchs.com/start.html. When you first look at it, it seems entirely safe and normal search engine, and you wouldn’t even think that it can be dangerous to use it. It even looks similar to Google search; however, once you type a search phrase into the search box and hit Enter, it quickly becomes apparent that it is not the actual Google search. In fact, there is a short line written in the search box before you click on it – Google Custom search. Custom search mainly means a search that provides many sponsored search results based on your interests, and we do not find such search service useful. First of all, sponsored results (or ads) wastes your time when you want to access certain information quickly, second, they can link to dangerous websites. By saying dangerous sites, we mean pages that try to collect private users’ data, convince them to participate in meaningless surveys just to offer a free download afterward, and so on. It goes without saying that such pages should be avoided because you can never know why they want to know your private data or why they want to convince you to install certain software. Their intentions might be bad, and you do not want to become their target. Therefore, it is for the best to avoid such sites. As we have already mentioned, Bestsearchs.com redirect virus seems not to care about the safety of links it advertises, so just remove Bestsearchs.com from your computer without any hesitations. This can be easily done by using an anti-malware tool like Reimage or manually. Like in every other article, we provide a comprehensive guide on how to remove the computer pest manually; you can find Bestsearchs.com removal guide below the article.
Bestsearchs.com virus in a web browser

How did your computer get infected with this threat?

This browser hijacker is considered to be a potentially unwanted program (PUP), and such applications are mainly distributed via freeware and shareware with the help of technique called software bundling. When you bundle several programs together, you create a software package that looks like one individual program. However, such programs hide all information about additional software in their setup. You must choose Custom or Advanced mode to install your download because it is the only way to see additional software bundled with it. These settings, unlike Default or Standard, also allow you to drop unwanted additions off, and that is what you definitely should do.
