This hacker tool was designed to control user's PC from a distant machine. The functions of this virus offer the intruder the ability to download, delete and upload files, kill running processes, etc. The hacker infects his victim's PC via the e-mail or File and Print Sharing with a "server" program. This program opens a default port and awaits commands from the attacker. The intruder communicates with the "server" via a "client" program on his PC. Sometimes the RAT is combined with a Trojan virus. It helps the attacker to infect the system via the e-mail. This RAT program was created by a hacker called DoxtorL. The origination date is May 2002.
