Butt Trumpet was createb by Brian Enigma. This RAT is a plugin program
for the Back Orifice RAT. It has a "notifier" ability, and no real
harmcanbe done by this program alone. Its prime function is notifiyng
the intruder, that the infection of his victim was performed
successfully. Several variants appeared from August 1998 to November
2001.

From the publisher:

"1.0: A DLL plugin for Back Orifice. It is launched when BO is
launched. Checks to see if it has successfully run and sent an email
message (by checking a registry key....
HKLM/SOFTWARE/NinjaSoft/BT/RunSuccess). If so, it quits. If not, it
attempts to conn.
Butt Trumpet 2000: A plugin for Back Orifice 2000. It duplicates the
functionality of the original Butt Trumpet plugin for the original Back
Orifice, plus adds some more. This plugin has been designed to send an
email message to the administrator after BO2K has been succes."
