Remove ComAnywhere. Removal instructions
Severity scale: (24 / 100)
ComAnywhere appears to be a legitimate remote administration tool, written in Delphi programming language and designed to allow the remote control of local computer’s COM ports. It is based on the classical “server and client technology. The server part can start automatically on every Windows startup, accept remote connections and provide access to the most significant options of COM ports. Although ComAnywhere was not created to perform harmful actions, hackers can use it for unclear purposes. For instance, they can get control over attached modem, mouse or other device, attached to COM port. Although ComAnywher do not provide full access to the system, it should be uninstalled, unless you have to use it.
ComAnywhere properties: • Allows remote user connection • Hides from the user • Stays resident in background
