ContentMonitor is not a parasite. It's a legitimate program that ContentWatch discontinued. You can usually remove it from the "Add/Remove Programs" in your Control Panel, but if that doesn't work you can call ContentWatch at 1.800.485.4008. They should be happy to assist you in removing it.
