Control Components is a fake program that reports false or exaggerated threats on your computer and displays fake security warnings to trick you into thinking that your PC is infected with Trojans, worms, adware, spyware and other malware. This fake program is from the same family as Control Center. It's promoted through the use of Trojans that come from fake online scanners, fake video sites or bundled with other malware. Once installed, it will simulate a system scan and display a list of malware infections and then will prompt you to pay for a full version of the program to remove the infections or system security threats. Of course, it reports false system security threats. This is nothing more but a scam. Don't purchase it and remove Control Components from your computer upon detection.

Another very annoying thing about this infection is that Control Components constantly display fake security warnings and notifications with randomly selected infections claiming that your computer is seriously infected or that important data can be deleted. Don't worry about that too much, because just like the false scan results these warnings are false too. The only real infection is ControlComponents. However, that not all. This fake program will probably hijack your web browser (usually Internet Explorer) and redirect you to various misleading sites that promote rogue programs, provide false information or display phony online advertisements. When, Control Components is running, it may also block security related sites, antivirus programs and system tools.

As you can see, Control Components is absolutely needless and even dangerous program. Please use the removal instructions below to remove Control Components from your computer as soon as possible. This can be done either manually or with an automatic removal tool. Please note that this virus may come bundled with other malicious software, that's why we strongly recommend you to run a full system scan with legitimate anti-spyware program. Also, if you have already purchased ControlComponents, then you should contact your credit card company and dispute the charges.
