Control Manager is a rogue program that may give false reports of threats on your computer to make you think that you are infected with malicious software. It's from the same family as Control Center rogueware. Control Manager is a typical scam. It's promoted through the use of trojans or comes bundled with other malware. Once installed, this fake program will display many fake security alerts and report numerous infections or threats that can't be removed unless you purchase the program. That wouldn't be so bad, but the trick is that Control Manager asks you to pay for a full version of the program in order to remove infections which don't even exist. So, most importantly, don't purchase it! Then follow the removal instructions below and remove Control Manager from your computer as soon as possible. You may remove it either manually or with an automatic removal tool.

While running, ControlManager will also block certain programs and security related websites in order to protect itself. It may also hijack your web browser and redirect you to various misleading sites that promote fake products or display false information to trick you into purchasing Control Manager. If you already purchased it, then you should contact your credit card company and dispute the charges.
