CoreGuard Antivirus 2009 is a bogus anti-spyware application. The rogue uses slightly different approach comparing with other fake spyware removers. It tries to uninstall legitimate security-related programs that are already installed on the system. CoreGuard Antivirus 2009 claims that it has detected unauthorized antivirus software and recommends user to remove it from the system, because it may conflict with CoreGusard Antivirus 2009. It may attempt to uninstall MalwareBytes' Anti-malware, Norton Internet Security, F-Secure, NOD32, Avast and others.

Once active, CoreGuard Antivirus 2009 is configured to start automatically every time computer loads. Then it performs fake system scan and reports numerous bogus infections and unauthorized activities that won't be removed until user purchases the program. However, all those infections are fake and must be ignored. You should also ignore fake security alerts produced by this rogue. Here's an examples of a fake alert that you may see:

"User's activity loggers detected!
It's strongly recommended to remove detected threats right now!
Most of the viruses and worms on your PC because of visiting pornosites or warez/torrent sites."
