Where do CurveLayer ads come from?

We identify CurveLayer virus as a program that belongs to potentially unwanted programs’ category. However, users tend to use the term “virus” for almost every program that functions suspiciously. The problem that arises from this program’s existence is CurveLayer Background Audio ads. This program tends to launch video ads at random times, but it doesn’t show them on the screen. In fact, the program launches them in a background so the user can hear audio of these ads only. The program shows no other signs of existence, and such suspicious behavior can scare the computer user. Sadly, the only indicator that reveals the cause of this problem is several active processes that appear in Windows Task Manager. It appears that CurveLayer Background Audio adware repeatedly connects to certain domains and loads advertisements, but doesn’t display them on computer’s screen. Such activity is highly annoying and also worsens the performance of the computer, and of course poses a threat to computer security. You do not want to keep such shady program that exploits your computer as a tool to generate artificial views of sponsored content. Therefore, we suggest you remove CurveLayer Background Audio adware from the computer as soon as possible. You can remove this program safely and quickly with the help of anti-malware tool like Reimage. We do not recommend you to put your spyware removal skills to the test unless you are an experienced IT expert. Speaking of this particular adware program, we do not recommend you to try to remove it manually. However, you can still find basic CurveLayer removal instructions at the very end of this web page.

Who let this suspicious program into my computer system?

If you’re looking someone to blame for CurveLayer hijack, you should remember what programs you have recently installed. If you didn’t know this yet, free programs typically promote additional third-party software and suggest installing them along. These suggestions can be completely hidden behind Default or Standard installation options, which software installers typically suggest choosing. You should switch the selection to Advanced or Custom option and see if the wizard suggests installing any additional pieces of software. If it does, deselect such suggestions. You must configure installation settings if you do not want to install suspicious and unknown programs unwillingly.
