This RAT was written in Visual C++ and Compressed with ASPack. The
author is a hacke called Iczer. Several variants appeared from October,
2000 to March, 2001. The purpose of this virus is gaining the intruder
unlimited remote control over the infected system. You may find this
pest in the internet under such names as Dagger 1.31b or Dagger 1.40.
It infects Windows 95/98.
From the publisher:
"The Dagger is a client/server application which allows the client
software to monitor, administer, and perform other network and
multimedia actions on the machine running the DaggerServer. To
communicate with the DaggerServer the DaggerClient must run on any
Microsoft Windows machine.... I programmed the Dagger completly new.
With the helpfull units of a very good friend of mine "Cyanide". With
this units there is nothing realy impossible. Sure I could programm it
also without this units but it made the hole thing much easier."
