Also known as: Dead Eye
Severity scale:DeadEye severity is 61  (61 / 100)

DeadEye is a rogue anti-spyware application with a kinda creepy name. It displays fake security alerts and pop-ups and reports numerous infections on compromised computer. Of course, the only real infection is DeadEye itself so you may safely ignore its false scan results and fake security alerts. Most importantly, don't purchase it because DeadEye will definitely ask you to pay for a full version of the program to remove the infections. If you have already purchased it, then you should contact your credit card company and dispute the charges. Then please use a reputable and reliable antispyware program to remove DeadEye from your computer. We strongly recommend you to download an automatic removal tool and run a full system scan.

When running, DeadEye will also hijack Internet Explorer and block security related websites. What is more, it may block legit anti-virus and anti-spyware programs. In such case you will have to either end its processes or reboot your computer is safe mode with networking and run a system scan from there. It goes without saying that such misleading methods don't add credibility to DeadEye. It goes without saying that this program is nothing more but a scam. If you find that your computer is infected wit this virus please remove it upon detection.
