Doctor Antivirus 2008 is a new clone of the rogue anti-spyware program Antivirus 2008. This parasite has produced many clones over the past few weeks - System Antivirus and Ultimate Antivirus, to name a few. Doctor Antivirus 2008 is no different than any of it's clones or rogues in general for that matter.

Doctor Antivirus 2008 usually spreads using trojans, such as Zlob or Vundo. Once inside and active, the parasite will flood the user with popups and fake system notifications, "informing" him of an infection or multiple infections on the system. This isn't true but the user is mislead so that he would buy Doctor Antivirus 2008's "licensed version" to dispose of the threat.

Doctor Antivirus 2008 is a scam and should be treated as such: do NOT download or buy it and block it's homepage using your HOSTS file.
