Dowiex is a trojan that attempts to modify all files in the system by adding some extra code. The parasite also downloads from the Internet and executes malicious files installing more threats to the infected system. Furthermore, it redirects the web browser to a web page hosting an exploit utilizing recent vulnerabilities in Microsoft Internet Explorer. Dowiex can block access to certain web sites. It is able to update itself via the Internet. The trojan runs on every Windows startup.
