E-Card.exe is trojan distributed via spam emails. Avoid opening spam messages and do not click the links provided on such emails!

E-Card.exe trojan is hidden on 82.199.173.85 website; users are redirected to this malicious website when they click on link given on spam email. The email message is wisely masked to look like notification from e-cards website; this way people are attracted to visiting the page. Fortunately, infected email can be recognized easily. The subject of email is “You’ve received A Hallmark E-Card!” and the text in message’s body is as the following:

“Hello!
You have received a Hallmark E-Card.
To see it, click here.
There is something special about that E-Card feeling. We invite you to make a friend’s day and send one.
Hope to see you soon,
Your friends at Hallmark
Your privacy is our priority. Click the “Privacy and Security” link at the bottom of this E-mail to view our policy.”

Although the message appears to be official and real, it serves only to deliver E-Card.exe trojan on board your computer.

E-Card.exe grants remote access to a compromised computer. This may result empty online banking account and stolen personal information. Remove E-Card.exe with no delay and block 82.199.173.85 website using your HOSTS file.
