This RAT was created with only one purpose - it allows the intruder to shut down a computer remotely. The program was created by a group called EMCO. The program is freeware and can be easily found in the internet. It affects Windows NT/2000/XP operating systems.

EMCO Remote Shutdown 2.0 is a machine shutdown utility. It allows you to scan a LAN for available machines with just one click. EMCO Remote Shutdown 2.0 has the following features:

* Scanning a LAN for machine information
* Saving LAN information in separate files
* Defining shutdown jobs for any/all machines
* Defining shutdown actions
* Edit shutdown actions
* Send custom message to remote machines"
