EnergyPlugin is a typical adware program that displays undesirable commercial advertisements in pop-up windows using your web browser. It doesn't spread by itself and has to be manually installed. During the installation process it creates a directory, drops its files in it and alters the registry, so the threat could run on every Windows startup.
