ExPup is an adware program that displays undesirable advertisements. It opens commercial sites in a web browser, shows pop-ups, unwanted advertising toolbars or other objects with similar content. It also may have additional dangerous payload specific to browser hijackers, trojans and some spyware variants. ExPup can severely decrease overall computer performance, violate user privacy. The threat can secretly get into the system while visiting certain malicious web sites. It also can be installed along with some ad-supported software. Certain applications come with the embedded adware module.
