Extra Antivirus is yet another rogue anti-spyware application. Basically, Extra Antivirus is just a rename of fake spyware remover called Virus Doctor. ExtraAntivirus is advertised as antivirus security software for Windows with many useful tools and functions, including professional firewall, protection against malware and many more. However, this rogue is usually downloaded and installed without user's permission and knowledge through the use of trojan virus. It uses misleading methods in order to scare the user and make him believe that his computer has serious security issues.

Once installed, Extra Antivirus is configured to run system scan every time computer starts up. Of course, scan results will just confirm that the system is seriously infected with various parasites, such as malware, spyware and trojans. ExtraAntivirus will also state that system security is compromised and that such situation can cause even more damage to the system. Extra Antivirus claims that removal of those infections is essential, but can be only performed with a full version of this rogue. That's how creators of Extra Antivirus collect money form inexperienced and simple-hearted people. They sell absolutely worthless product, because it will never remove any kind of infections.
