Fast Antivirus 2009 is a rogue anti-spyware application from the same family as Malware Catcher and Virus Shield 2009. The rogue is just another none-functional program that claims to be able to detect and remove dangerous malware, spyware and other infections. Usually, Fast Antivirus 2009 is advertised through the use of Trojans, malware and adware. These Trojans constantly display fake pop-ups and security alerts. If you click on these pop-ups, you will automatically download and install FastAntivirus 2009 onto your computer. Furthermore, this parasite is also promoted through use of fake online advertisements and malware scanners.

Once Fast Antivirus 2009 is installed, it will scan your computer and display many fake infections. It will also state that you should purchase the program in order to remove all found infections. Fast Antivirus2009 will also flood the system with fake security alerts and bogus privacy violation notifications. All these infections and security alerts are actually fake.
