Filukin is a rapidly spreading worm that distributes itself via e-mail messages with infected attachments. These attachments actually are executable files, but may look like normal text documents. Once executed, the worm installs itself to the system. It places its files into system folders (C:\Windows or C:\Winnt and C:\Windows\System, C:\Windows\System32 or C:\Winnt\System32), creates infected files on all local hard disks and modifies the registry, so the threat could run on every OS startup. Filukin scans entire file system for files with predefined extensions (such as .html, .doc, .eml, .txt, etc.) and gathers e-mail addresses from them. Then it sends numerous infected e-mails to collected addresses. Filukin terminates running antivirus processes, security-related progams and system tools, stops active Windows services. Several spyware removers, such as SpyHunter or Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta aren't affected by this parasite and can be used to fight the infection.
