Fontra is a malicious virus that infects executable files located in any peer to peer shared folder created by such P2P applications as eMule, eDonkey, Gnutella, Ares or similar ones. Shared folders with infected files are accessible to all members of a certain network, so Virus.Fontra can successfully spread itself, when it is inadvertently downloaded.

Once active, Fontra will download and install additional malware onto your computer. It may also establish a backdoor utility through which any remote attacker can access a computer. Fontra is able to collect and send private information to various untrusted IP Address. As you might have already understood, that Fontra should be detected and removed timely from the system, otherwise it can seriously compromise your computer.
