Gammiy is a virus that searches network shares for executable files and infects all such files it finds. The parasite locates network shares by connecting to hosts with random IP addresses. Gammiy also downloads another threat, usually a backdoor, and secretly installs it to the infected system. The virus runs on every Windows startup, and every time the user opens a text document.
