Goldun is a trojan designed to trick the e-gold electronic currency service users and steal their money. Usually this parasite spreads via e-mail in messages with infected attachments. These messages look like official letters from e-gold. Once the attachment is executed, Goldun installs itself to the system. It modifies system settings, so it could secretly start with Microsoft Internet Explorer. Goldun monitors user activity in the Internet and begins to log kestrokes when a user accesses the official e-gold web site. The trojan sends gathered data to the hacker. Additional functionality, names of infected files and text in fake e-mail messages may vary depending on Goldun version. Newest version of Goldun trojan sends collected information using its own emailing engine. it may also downlaod additional malware to an infected computer.
