Grob is a large RAT virus family, created with only one purpose: to gain the intruder unauthorized remote control over the victim's computer. Many versions (Grob 1.0, Grob 2.0, Grob 3.0, Grob 4.02, Grob 4.06, Grob 4.07, Grob 4.08) appeared in the internet from January 2002 to November 2003. The author of this pest is a Russian hacker called BuG. The programming language is Delphi, compressed with ASpack. This pest includes such dangerous functions as download/upload files, run program, etc. The attacker infects the PC via the e-mail or File and Print Sharing. A "server" allows him to connect via a "client" on his own machine. The functions of a RAT may vary, depending on the needs of the hacker.
