Worm Grouch is a complex Internet parasite, which spreads by e-mail, file-sharing and IRC networks. It modifies settings of the Microsoft Word text processor and infects some text documents. It places infected files to shared directories of popular peer-to-peer clients, infects mIRC or pIRCh chat programs and spreads via them. It also replicates infected letters by e-mail using Microsoft Outlook mail program. Once per year the worm erases all the data from the main hard disk.
