Hawawi is a dangerous Internet worm that spreads by e-mail, through file sharing networks and using several instant messengers. Once executed, the parasite destroys all the video, music and programming files, archives, various documents, databases and web pages it founds in the system. Hawawi uses its own mail server to send e-mails with infected attachments to multiple addresses. It uses ICQ, Yahoo Messenger and PalTalk applications to distribute its copies to all the user's contacts. The worm creates infected files with meaningful names and shares them using KaZaA peer-to-peer program. Hawawi automatically runs on every Windows startup.
