HDD Rescue is a rogue optimization and defragmentation program from the same family as HDD Defragmenter and HDD Scan. It reports false information about hard drive errors and system failures to make you think that your computer has numerous errors that should be fixed immediately. Of course, you won't be able to fix those problems unless you purchase HDD Rescue. That's what a typical rogue program does, it uses misleading methods to trick users into paying for useless software. HDD Rescue is promoted through the use of Trojans and misleading websites. You won't find who is behind this program and that's yet another sign that HDD Rescue is not legitimate. If you find that your computer in infected with this malware, please use our removal instructions below to remove HDD Rescue and other malware from your computer manually or with an automatic removal tool.

HDD Rescue displays fake warnings and notifications about non-existent problems and errors. It blocks other programs on infected computers and states that they are corrupted and etc. The fake error message reads:

Windows detected a hard drive problem.
A hard drive error occurred while starting the application.

It display other fake notifications too.

Critical Error!
Damaged hard drive clusters detected. Private data is at risk.

Critical Error
Hard Drive not found. Missing hard drive.

Critical Error
RAM memory usage is critically high. RAM memory failure.

As you can see, HDD Rescue is a scam. You should remove this rogue program from your computer as soon as possible. And, of course, do not purchase it. If you have already done that, then contact your credit card company and dispute the charges. The removal instructions below will show you how to remove HDD Rescue from your computer.
