HeroCodec is yet another bogus codec pack. It can be compared with Luxe Codec XP and PC Codec Pack malware. HeroCodec uses misleading methods and tries to trick people into purchasing useless software. It is advertised on various malicious websites and through the use of Trojans. Usually, Hero Codec access the system without user's knowledge, though, this fake cadec pack can be downloaded from HeroCodec homepage too.

Once active, HeroCodec claims that Windows media player can't play certain video files and that these files might be damaged. It also floods the system with obsessive pop-up windows or alerts stating that you should fix those issues using paid HeroCodec version. However, this software is a scam. It won't help you to fix those problems. Don't purchase it, otherwise you'll simply loose your money. Instead, remove HeroCodec from your computer. Please you the removal guide shown below.
