Homutex is a backdoor that gives the remote attacker full unauthorized access to a compromised computer. It also monitors network traffic, collects system information and sends it to the attacker. Once executed, Homutex installs its files into the default system directory (C:\Windows\System, C:\Windows\System32 or C:\Winnt\System32) and registers itself as an essential networking service.
