Worm Netsky is an Internet worm that spreads by e-mail in messages with infected executable attachments. When a user executes such attachment, the worm installs itself to the system and shows a fake error message. Then it scans hard disks for files of some types, searches them for e-mail addresses and sends its copies to these addresses using own mail server. It also places its copies to all found shared directories. The worm deletes other parasites known as MyDoom and Bagle from the system. Some versions of the Netsky worm can also delete several system files and attack well-known web servers. Few versions contain a backdoor, which can be used by attackers to get the full control over infected computers.
