Worm Neysid (also known as Alcarys) uses several ways to spread. It sends itself to all e-mail addresses found in a system, causing a huge overload of local mail servers. It infects mIRC chat client and uses it to distribute itself in IRC channels. It also places infected files to shared directories, used by KaZaA file-sharing application. The worm creates lots of infected files in system directories and places shortcuts to them on the desktop. It can infect some Microsoft Office documents and other files. It is very difficult to fully cure an infected computer: because there are lots of infected files there is a possibility, that a computer will be infected one more time.
