What is InstantVideoFix.net?

InstantVideoFix.net is an annoying pop-up that will keep running on your computer until you remove an adware that causes it. This misleading pop-up window may appear on random computers right after installing another freeware. That's because it's closely related to an adware that is also known as a potentially unwanted program (PUP). It's risky to keep it on your computer because InstantVideoFix.net pop-up ads are supposed to spread other potentially unwanted programs without users being aware of that. In most of the cases, you may see pop-ups claiming that you have to install Java. However, sometimes you may also see Flash or Media player update pop-ups or may web browser updates. Be aware that they look absolutely genuine and reliable, but remember that it's always better to install such and similar programs and their updates from official websites. If you would try clicking on 'Download now' or 'Click to update' buttons, you may be surprised that nothing happens or you may get a confirmation that an update was successfully installed. Unfortunately, it's more likely that InstantVideoFix.net virus will load other unwanted program or even malware on your computer. In addition to fake pop-up alerts, you may also see various advertisements on every website that you visit. Be careful and avoid clicking on them because InstantVideoFix.net redirects may force you to visit unsafe websites without you being aware of that. If you think that this adware is hiding on your computer and if you have even clicked on its pop-up alerts, we highly recommend scanning your computer with Reimage or another reputable anti-spyware because your computer may be infected with more that one potentially unwanted program.

How can InstantVideoFix.net hijack my computer?

As we have mentioned before, an adware that is closely related to InstantVideoFix.net can be installed on your computer without you even being aware of it. It’s because it is distributed in a bundle with other free software. It's not very likely that people install it willingly. In most of the cases they skip installation check boxes and click the 'next' or 'I agree' buttons without reading what is give to them and inadvertently accepts to install not only InstantVideoFix.net virus, but also other unwanted programs. To avoid this happening, you should avoid downloading any software that looks fishy. If you have no other option but to download unfamiliar application from a questionable website, run its installation with extreme carefulness. Read all notifications, do not skip those written in small font, investigate all propositions and accept to install the program only if you are sure that it is safe to use and that it will be installed without additional components. Do not select Quick or Recommended installation mode if possible because it may hide important check boxes and install additional components by default. To avoid this, opt for Advanced or Custom installation mode, which expands the process and allows monitoring every step. If you notice offer to install extension, add-on, plug-in or toolbar, do not accept it as you may accept installation of InstantVideoFix.net virus or similar unwanted program on your system.
