Cannot access some sites such as facebook. This caused by the infection, or what? I get a red box that says RESTRICTED SITE due to your security Prefences, and below it says Your System is Infected Please activate your AntiVirus program.

Before you restart Windows, you have to reset the key:
HKLMSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionWinlogonUserinit
from winlogon86.exe
to userinit.exe
If don't, windows performs an automatic logout.

Try Combofix.exe you can find it on bleepingcomputers. it does remove it and others like it. about the only thing that works

If Task Manager is disabled, you can get ProcessXP and run it from a USB drive or any media and it will allow you to kill the process(es) that keep the malware running. Also, disable System Restore and Remote Access before or after doing all the clean-up to avoid recurring infection.

I then deleted it and it whent away but came back!

You gotta wipe your Harddrive FINAL. You can't do anything no point just wipe your HD.

Got this virus too, tried using malwarebytes + avg. Both of them said they removed it all but it keeps coming back. Only option left is wiping the hardrive. Registry and task manager won't open.

It does work, just rename them taskmgr.com, regedit.com, etc.

Guys i really am thinking im going to wipe my harddrive should I i'm getting fed up with this P.O.S it killed my internet connection i'm using my lap top, please help me...
