Worm Septic, also known as Messiah, spreads by IRC network using mIRC client. On infected computer it tries to modify mIRC program so it could spread the worm in IRC channels. It also infects executables and other files of some types. When user from the infected host connects via mIRC program to the IRC, the worm's author gets the possibility to override and control several actions of such user. The Septic worm is able to delete critical files of the antivirus software.
