Such programs are called Remote Administration Tools (RAT). They are used by hackers to control the victim's machine remotely. The possibilities of such programs depend on the needs of the attacker. The attacker infects the PC via the e-mail or File and Print Sharing. A "server" allows him to connect via a "client" on his own machine. JustJoke is a big RAT virus family. Many versions (JustJoke 1.2, JustJoke 1.3, JustJoke 2.0b4, JustJoke 2.1, JustJoke 2.2, JustJoke 2.3, JustJoke 2.4, JustJoke 2.5, JustJoke 2.6, JustJoke 2.6b, JustJoke Pro 2.0b4) appeared in the internet from July 2002 to October 2003. The author of this pest is a Russian hacker called Devil. The program was written in Delphi programming language. This dangerous RAT tool has a "password capture" ability. It tries to steal passwords as they are being typed in.
