Koobface.C is a worm that spreads through social networking websites such as Twitter, Facebook, hi5, Friendster, Netlog and others. Usually, this worm sends messages to users of the social networking site pointing to a copy of itself. For example, you may receive a messages with the following text: "You look just awesome in this new movie." This message could lead you to the Koobface virus. Koobface C may be also dropped onto your computer by W32.Koobface.A or W32.Koobface.B.

Once installed, Koobface.C will create the following files: twitty[TWO DIGIT NUMBER].exe and tw[FIVE DIGIT NUMBER].dat. These malicious files will be named twitty01.exe, twitty02.exe and etc., changing the [TWO DIGIT NUMBER]. Then this worm will create a registry entry, so that it could be started when Windows starts. However, the worst thing is that Koobface.C opens a back door allowing an attacker to perform any of the following actions: download and execute a file, open an image, update itself, block an IP address, Post a message to twitter.
